Support
We are a small team and we read every message. Most replies go out within a few working days.
Write to us
E-mail [email protected]. It helps if you include:
- your Support ID (see below), if your question is about a purchase or a code;
- your phone model and Android version;
- what happened, and what you expected to happen.
Please do not send us your journal entries. We never need them, and we cannot see them.
Finding your Support ID
There are no accounts, so we do not know who you are. Your Support ID is a random code that lets us find your purchase records without knowing your name.
- Open Rise with Gratitude.
- Go to Profile → Support ID.
- Copy the ID and paste it into your e-mail.
For a Rise Pro question, your Google Play order number (it starts with GPA.) also helps.
Need help right now?
This app is not an emergency or medical service. If you are in crisis, please see Help now for helplines.
Common questions
I got a new phone. Where is my journal?
Your journal is kept only on your old phone and is left out of automatic backups, so it does not move across by itself. On the old phone, use the export feature to save a file, then import that file in the app on your new phone.
How do I restore my Rise Pro purchase?
Make sure you are signed in to Google Play with the same Google account you used to buy it, then use the restore option in the app. If it still does not work, e-mail us your Support ID and your Google Play order number.
How do I cancel Rise Pro?
Open Google Play › Profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions, choose Rise with Gratitude and cancel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
Voice typing is not working.
Voice typing uses your phone's built-in speech recognition. Check that the app has microphone permission and that your phone's speech service supports the language you chose.
Reminders do not arrive.
Reminders are scheduled by your phone. Check that notifications are allowed for the app and that battery saving is not stopping it.
The app showed me helpline numbers after I saved an entry.
When you save an entry, the app does a simple word check on your phone. If it notices words that may mean you are going through a hard time, it gently shows helpline numbers. Nothing is sent anywhere and nobody is alerted. The check can show up when it is not needed, and it can also miss things.
